Matt has been an IP litigator for his entire career. His experience spans patent, trademark, and trade secret litigation in U.S. District Courts, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and proceedings before the Patent Trials and Appeals Board and the International Trade Commission.
Matt was part of a team that litigated a high-profile patent and trade secret dispute between Masimo and Apple regarding features of the Apple watch. Matt has also represented clients in disputes involving advanced computing technologies, semiconductors, apparel, and consumer products.
Before attending law school, Matt served as an engineer for Mondelez International, where he developed innovative food packaging for such iconic products as Oreos and Chips Ahoy! cookies, Ritz crackers, Sour Patch Kids candies, and Halls cough drops.
Prior to joining the firm, Matt was a litigation associate at Knobbe Martens in Irvine, California.
